Technology Petting Zoo
The "Mobile Device Discovery Program" of the New Jersey State Library is lending a Mobile Discovery Kit to the Johnson Public Library for 60 days between April and June 2013. The Kit contains five Apple iPads, a Kindle Touch, a Kindle Fire, a Nook Color, and a Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
We are offering several "technology petting zoos" where patrons can come in and try out the devices. Library staff will be on hand to demonstrate their use and answer any questions. This is a great opportunity to try out that eReader, Tablet, or iPad and learn about free library apps and downloads. The petting zoos will be held in the library meeting room on:

Teen Book Club for Adult Readers
Saturday, June 1. 2:00 PM.
You are invited to join our book club for adult readers where we discuss books that were published for teens but have plenty of appeal for adult readers. No advanced sign-up needed. Parents and teachers will especially benefit from the discussion, but all are welcome! Our first title is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. We will meet in the library’s Meeting Room, on the lower level of the library. Join us!

Chair Yoga

Please join us for a gentle yoga class for adults. Chair yoga is done while seated on a chair, and students can do yoga movements in a safe and effective way to exercise for any age and level of health or mobility. Seniors or those needing a gentle exercise program can benefit from this class, but all are welcome to give it a try. Presented by Felise Berman of Shiva Shanti Yoga School.
